Twee doden bij auto-ongeluk Westdijk Dirksland
Rond 00:33 uur vond op de Westdijk in Dirksland een ernstig verkeersongeval plaats waarbij een auto te water raakte. Meerdere ambulances, brandweereenheden en een traumahelikopter (lifeliner) werden gealarmeerd en spoed ter plaatse gestuurd. Volgens de nieuwsbronnen zijn twee mannen, een van 33 en een van 18 jaar oud, om het leven gekomen bij het ongeluk. Het was een eenzijdig verkeersongeval waarbij het voertuig in het water terechtkwam. De hulpdiensten voerden gereddigingswerkzaamheden uit, maar de inzet kon niet meer voorkomen dat beide inzittenden fataal werden getroffen. Woningbrand Voorstraat Dirksland
Rond 11:07 uur brak een woningbrand uit aan de Voorstraat in Dirksland. De brandweer rukte met spoed uit met meerdere eenheden, terwijl ook twee ambulances ter plaatse kwamen.
