Rond 00:18 uur brak een zeer grote brand uit bij een timmerbedrijf aan de Marsweg in Zutphen. De brandweer rukte massaal uit met meerdere eenheden (P1) en ambulance ter plaatse. De brand escaleerde snel van middelbrand naar zeer grote brand met behulp van extra bluseenheden. Volgens meerdere lokale nieuwsbronnen ging een loods compleet in vlammen op en werd het bedrijfspand verwoest. Bij de brand kwam asbest vrij, wat een extra gezondheidsrisico vormde. Hulpdiensten waren enige tijd ter plaatse om de brand onder controle te brengen. Er zijn geen gewonden gemeld.
