Rond 19:54 uur brak een brand uit in een appartementencomplex aan de Anton Mauvestraat in Woerden, waarschijnlijk veroorzaakt door een explosie. De brandweer rukte meerdere keren met spoed uit en zette onder meer een drone in bij de bestrijding. Ook een ambulance (A1) werd ingezet. Volgens de Woerdense Courant en AD.nl ging het om een uitslaande brand waarbij bewoners uit 24 woningen moesten worden geëvacueerd. Zeven appartementen raakten onbewoonbaar door het incident. De brand werd in de loop van de avond onder controle gebracht. Gewonden werden niet gemeld, hoewel veel bewoners niet direct naar hun woningen konden terugkeren.
