Rond 15:47 uur brak een grote brand uit in opslagcontainers op de Keileweg in Rotterdam. De brandweer ruktte meteen uit met spoed (P1) en escaleerde al snel de inzet naar een zeer grote brand, met tientallen brandweereenheden ter plaatse. Meerdere ambulances werden ook ingeschakeld. Volgens Hart van Nederland waren hulpdiensten druk bezig iedereen veilig uit het gebouw te krijgen. FlashphotoNL meldde flinke zwarte rookwolken die vanaf grote afstand zichtbaar waren. Het vuur greep niet over naar het nabijgelegen Kunstmuseum Brutus Art Space aan dezelfde straat. De brand was rond 16:30 uur onder controle. Er zijn geen gewonden gemeld, hoewel meerdere ambulances ter plaatse waren voor mogelijke inhalatie van rook.
