## Samenvatting

Rond 21:02 uur brak een brand uit in bouwafval op het bedrijventerrein aan de Doklaan in Rotterdam-Zuid. Wat aanvankelijk als middelbrand werd gemeld, escaleerde snel tot een zeer grote brand. De brandweer werd massaal ingezet met meerdere bluseenheden en verklaarde GRIP 1 (rond 21:34 uur) en later GRIP 2 (vanaf 22:13 uur). Ambulancediensten ter plaatse behandelden meerdere slachtoffers. De Maastunnel werd afgesloten vanwege de grote rookwolken. Volgens persbronnen ging het om een recyclingbedrijf waar bouwafval in brand stond. De brand bleef het grootste deel van de nacht woeden. Rond 22:41 uur werd daarnaast een persoon te water gemelddaan nabijgelegen Slachthuiskade, waarvoor gereanimatie nodig was. De operatie op de Doklaan duurde tot in de vroege ochtend voort.
